Partnering
The Practice has
recognised the importance of both Partnering and of re-thinking construction as
advocated by the Egan Report. Having been a founder member of the “Best Practice
in Partnering Forum” as sponsored by the Housing Corporation, the Practice has
established itself at the forefront of this policy.
The Social Housing Sector were the first to adopt the Partnering
procedure following Sir John Egans' report “Re-thinking Construction”.
The Practice is acting as Partnering Advisor to
many
Housing Association
clients.
Throughout our professional and consulting services we will
advise on alternative procurement procedures including partnering rather than
open tendering, particularly where value for money is the aim rather than lowest
price. The competitive tendering procurement route remains an option but
continues to contributed to bankruptcies and litigation that is not beneficial
to industry.
As Partnering
Advisors we:
• Guide the selection process
• Encourage the objectives of Partnering and Team
building
• Keep records of relationships including Audit statement to
ensure probity
• Resolve any dispute and act as mediators
• Continuously check to ensure Aims & Objectives
as being achieved
• Benchmarking to ensure continuous improvement
